Every woman has her own job or duty in this modern society in which men are unfortunately still the strongest genders, we cannot forget that a woman\u2019s life is a lot more complicated than a man\u2019s life. Gender roles are based on norms or standards, created by society, we consider, masculine roles are usually associated with strength, aggression and dominance, feminine roles are usually associated with passivity nurturing and subordination what then are leadership and managerial roles based on?\r\n\r\nThe nation of perpetuating backwardness of women especially in rural areas is one of the significant contributors to poverty, unplanned family size, poor reproductive health, hunger etc.\r\n\r\nFemale infanticide in India has a history spanning centuries. Poverty, dowry system, births to unmarried woman, deformed infants, famine, lack of support services and maternal illness such as postpartum depression are among the causes that have been proposed to explain the phenomenon of female infanticide in India.\r\n\r\nInfanticide is now-a-days a criminal offence in India but it is an under reported crime. Reliable objective data is unavailable. There were around 100 male country in 2010, giving an official rate of less than one per million people.\r\n\r\nThe Indian practice of female infanticide and of sex-selective abortion have been cited to explain in part a gender imbalance that has been reported as being increasingly distorted since the 1991 census of India, although there are also other influences that might affect the trend. Reliable data for female infanticide is unavailable.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest reason for increase in female infanticide is being associated with the increase in number of private ultrasound scanning centers which often disclose the set of baby, and as they become more accessible and affordable people who could not find out the sex of baby historically, have started finding it out and often results in abortion in case of girl child.\r\n\r\nIn 1992 the Government of India started the \u201cBaby Cradle Scheme\u201d. This allows families anonymously to give their child up for adoption without having to go through the formal procedure. The scheme has been praised for possibly saving the lives of thousands of baby girls.\r\n\r\nLater, the census 2011 data showed a significant decline in the Child Sex Ratio (CSR). Alarmed by the decline the Government of India introduced \u201cBetiBachao, BetiPadhao (BBBP) to address this issue.
